A pretty little girl with a bow in her hair."Remember the promise you made...." Ein Kennzeichen

On the 4 June 1980 I met my German Schatzi and we were engaged. We went through the Markenheirat two days later with two witnesses,an exchange of vows and we had a glass of Michelsob 1978. I went to work in Mercedes in the first stagiaire of management training for three months in the spare parts department. I had been accepted to study law the previous August. I promised my fiancee to return after graduation.

I became during my time at Queen's University Belfast, deeply involved in the IRA and was sent down twice.

In 1987-8, I prepared the British Operations Handbook and handed it over in Mickie Smith's house in Rathfarnham,Dublin.

I anticipated that my bloody past would catch up with me and that I would be "tested in  the fire".

Therefore, I instructed Jim Wray as to An Phoblacht headlines and IRA pictograph and press releases in a tone of cool, cocky, brash confidence to bring the brazen English soldiery who I had met to their senses.

I was the main actor in the campaign of destruction in England after the sojourn in hell. One of those AP/RN headlines read, for the unfolding drama when we attacked the NatWest Tower, "IRA smash ring of steel". I specified a cartoon of Ireland pitted against a chain of steel, smashing it with a sledgehammer. This was an actual reworking of my father,a mechanic, "knocking out" steel lorry girders to make metal plate for the construction of link boxes.

Those instructions were designed to rub salt into John Bull's wound. Those macabre remarks were half-jocular characterisations.

The end of the press release concerning the last attack in the financial district proper ran, after we rumbled the NatWest Tower,"Who shot Cock Robin?" That moniker was pure bravado.

Stilled to inhumanity by our experiences,we could not see the brutality and completely destructive nature of our activities. I speak as the main culprit for this 'body-blow to Thatcher's financial backers'.

That particular paean of violence is in contrast to the fact that many dozens of female office staff were horribly injured by the body-blows to the British economy.

Je me regrette....
