An old Communist reminiscing,1988-9, Walkinstown

 Tommy O Rourke was an old Communist who I met in 1988-9 when I moved in Communist circles in Dublin. He lived in one of those many well-appointed and modest but adequate family homes built by De Valera's governments.

He recounted to myself the facts of modern Irish political history,the IRA's connections to rentboys in the 1920's,the painting of "dead walls" with IRA slogans by young "waifs" in the same period and the development of the Revolutionary Workers Groups in the 1930's.

The Revolutionary Workers Groups were to become the Communist Party of Ireland in 1935.

Tommy told me of how when he and Minnie were absent from their home in Walkinstown on holiday,the Garda detectives would enter to inspect their home.

How did Tommy know?

Firstly,by the way,he had his recent shop receipts on the mantle piece and he recalled to me," You'd know that they had been in the house by the fact that they had placed the receipts upside down on the nail on the mantle piece."

In our time,the police and the criminals who they mix with also enter people's dwellings when they are absent.

Therefore,we say with certainty that it was not solely Russia in the 1930's, Germany in the 1940's or the US in the 1950's where the police violated property rights to sow confusion, disorder and chaos but that the class interests of the police are not compatible with a law-governed society anywhere. 

Let us first of all punish these people publicly, then publicise their covert activities and expressly outlaw the named offences.

What has come down to us in Ulster is that a Garda or police detective whose cover has been blown will nonchalantly walk in the door of our living accommodation unannounced without knocking hoping to gain yet more information on his foil to injure him and members of his family.

The word 'blackguard'

This word is derived from bleachtaire (detective) and blagairt (blackmail), the latter offence a Norman-French crime. Blackguardism means to guard oneself i.e.protect an associate or oneself from accusations of impropriety or crime by blackening the name of someone else first. 

Psychiatry in its legal and policing manifestations is aimed towards the dissemination of libels and slanders under cover of public interest disclosures or medical diagnoses.

Every tramp and guttersnipe,the 'dangerous class' ,take up the cudgel on behalf of Garda tramps. I refer to these police detectives and their hangers-on. Their hangers-on are the medical solopsists.

The follow-up,the dipsomaniac or drug addict sent to check up

An informer "likes to string the bit out" i.e. deliver on his false promises too late for satisfaction of an outstanding debt or postpone repayment of a loan to the Greek calends. You invite a bast... like him or her-there are even female blackguards who plead acts of God and force majeure-into your home at your own peril.

Why,so?

He will try to extract a payment from you "for listening to you" (Cahal Morris,Patrick Mc Grory). 

His guard is always up but he tries to give the impression of joyful camaraderie, playful interest in yourself making a success of yourself and cheerful banter. Beware,his heart is as black as coal. He is the a waster,a conniver and a recidivist. His principal is someone who idolises authority. The agent may try to involve others such as a family member who will have been recruited in a bookie shop,a man who would do anything for the love of 'sport'.

It must be pointed out to the unwary, there is a third leg on the stool,the Provos as intermediaries for the police,a role formerly occupied by priests.

My advice?

Tell drunks and drug addicts and petty criminals,"Go and see a doctor. He is the only one qualified to help you. I am not paid to listen to a c... like you. A lot of your problems emanate from your family and people in closed groups like the Provos, Freemasons and dissident republican organisations.One of them is sending you around here for information which he intends to sell to the police for a couple of pounds and you know that as well as I do. Stick your begging bowl up your ar.. and go away home to your family."

An old man's wise remarks

"Do not kid yourself about street crawlers or the riff-raff deployed by the police and Army on either side of the border to harass people and keep them under watch,they wouldn't stop to help anyone in difficulty or stop someone being beaten up by thugs. You saw that in Dublin with the Neighbourhood Watch. The Dowdalls were nowhere to be seen. They were part of it like all Provos and criminals. Only a soldier or soldier or someone in a semi-official position like a taxi driver helps anyone in that situation and that's why the Army will eventually come out on top of gangs like the Provos because they're more respectful of their opponents. It might have something to do with religion,I don't know. James Josie Lynch and Fergal Connolly gave the orders that you were to be beaten up...Morgan had nothing to do with it,neither him nor O Connor like Connolly told Pat Doherty or Greg Shine told you... Greg Shine worked for your enemies,MI 5 or Military Intelligence.Let that be a lesson to you about going down to Dublin without being properly prepared or telling your real friends like your cousin Gerry or Hugh Pat Prunty,not any of his sons.Eaman Carey is only a bollocks who doesn't know what he is talking about and everybody gets fed up with people who do nothing but talk... He is responsible for most of Sean Lynch's and Owen Carron's big talk. Manus Maguire told you to stay well away from all of them, particularly the Belfast IRA,so don't let me hear tell of you associating with them again. Someone in your situation would be well advised not to vote because it only encourages them. You can get any help you need elsewhere if you have a bit of manners with other people and respect for women. Jimmy Gleeson doesn't want you calling again. We say of the South that it is a demotic society,a satanic country imprisoned by the police and Army.

The nationalist police and army have been in an undeclared war with workers,thinkers and intelligent people for over seventy years.

None of its achievements will endure very long after the passing of its various highpoints,no more than those of that other demotic society Germany.

Sane, intelligent and reasonable people say,"Disband the Irish Army and colonial police."

 They are poisoners, criminals, housebreakers and murderers. They are part of a society which does not recognise any rights,a demoniac society run by cutthroats and thugs from boxing clubs with knuckledusters, the hooligans,amateur thespians from Mullingar,pensioners and the unemployed.

It is time for the disbandment of these secret organisations which are the legacy of colonialism.

Getting rid of the British Army has led to a criminal and recidivist society in the South,a society modelled on Germany between 1933 and 1945. Some say that demoniacs inhabited the German apparatus of state even before 1933 and I am one of the commentators who maintain that argument.
