The police when a junior officer has decided to have someone killed will enlist a spy-in-the-cab,a close associate with the intention of providing him with details of the victim's movements and daily pattern of activities. He does this so that he can have a collaborator spread oil on the road with the aim of causing a collision or accident leading to the target's untimely death.
Because of the prevalence of diesel effluent from heavy goods vehicle and petrol residue on the roads,it is easy to pass off a contrived collision or death on the roads as an "accident". This is what the Germans call "ein inszeniertes Strassenumfall".
